About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist at DELTA Fiber Nederland, you will design, build, and operationalize advanced ML and AI models to enhance customer experience and network performance. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data sources, develop concrete applications, and explain complex technical concepts clearly. This role offers the opportunity to work with a state-of-the-art, cloud-based data platform within Azure Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Developing, training, and deploying supervised, unsupervised, and recommender models, including Predictive Maintenance, Anomaly detection in network data, and Marketing models.
- Analyzing large and complex datasets, such as telemetry and customer data.
- Acting as a sparring partner and primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding the functionality and usage of Machine Learning models.
- Translating business challenges into concrete ML and AI products, and collaborating with stakeholders for further development and improvement.
- Working within an Agile environment, including creating user stories, prioritizing tasks, and continuously improving processes and deliverables.
Requirements
- Master's degree (WO) level of work and thinking.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist, including experience with Machine Learning models.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and advanced knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of Spark and PySpark.
- Experience designing, deploying, and benchmarking supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning models.
- Knowledge of recommender systems and/or Next Best Action models.
- Minimum intermediate knowledge of Databricks and Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repositories, and artifacts.
- Knowledge of LLM and Generative AI applications.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Affinity with business and chain processes.
- Stress-resistant, proactive, and structured work attitude.
- Experience with Deep Learning and PyTorch is a plus.
- Experience within a network or telecom organization is a plus.
