About the Role
The Security Analyst role is part of the Corporate IT Network and Security team, responsible for analyzing the design and operating effectiveness of controls within cybersecurity programs across the Trudell Medical Group of companies. This role collaborates with technology and development teams to ensure the implementation and execution of cybersecurity deliverables, supporting risk reduction, compliance, and reporting frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the design and operating effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.
- Collaborate with technology and development teams to ensure implementation and execution of cybersecurity deliverables.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of cybersecurity controls in collaboration with TMG technology and development teams and third-party specialists.
- Gain a deep understanding of company IT infrastructure, including operating systems, development environments, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and SIEMs.
- Assist in program management and task execution for cybersecurity programs and SOC2 deliverables, including penetration tests, network scans, threat risk assessments, security operations center alert configuration, business continuity and disaster response plans, ransomware simulations, incident response tabletop exercises, and SOC2 readiness.
- Direct internal technical teams to facilitate contributions to and timely completion of cybersecurity control-related tasks and remediation.
- Document process and procedure changes required for program compliance.
- Promote best practices for information security internally.
- Assist with managing vendors and their third-party support.
- Document cybersecurity program control effectiveness assessments and internal audits.
- Prepare reports for key stakeholders on cybersecurity control effectiveness.
- Validate cybersecurity control evidence to support SOC2 compliance.
- Recommend changes to controls or areas for improvement.
- Contribute to updating cybersecurity policies.
- Investigate security alerts and breaches.
- Assist with event response and vulnerability fixes.
- Conduct threat research and stay current in the cybersecurity field.
- Participate in cybersecurity training events for operating companies.
- Perform forensic investigations of security control violations and escalated incidents.
Requirements
- Available to work an Evening Shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) or Night Shift (9:00 pm - 5:00 am).
- Available to come into the London, Ontario office occasionally as required.

Skills
- Knowledge of security and control-based frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, CSF, SOC2, and ISO.
- Knowledge of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus and IDPS concepts.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and OWASP.
- Cloud security fundamentals.
