About the Role
Join a long-term complex occupational therapy team dedicated to supporting patient independence and well-being within the community. Enhance independence, reduce dependency on care, and manage risks associated with daily life activities for physically disabled residents.
Responsibilities
- Assess people's capabilities using a variety of approaches.
- Help patients find the motivation and support to progress.
- Guide and mentor colleagues, potentially including OT students.
- Promote a culture of learning within the team.
- Provide a professional Occupational Therapy Service to physically disabled residents.
Requirements
- Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist.
- Ideally with a community-based background.
- Significant experience of carrying out OT assessments for disabled people and their carers.
- Sensitive and empathic due to dealing with complex health conditions.
- Well-developed powers of persuasion to motivate patients and ensure progress.
- Comfortable working with electronic case management systems.
- Must require an Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred List.

Salary/Compensations
- New hires will normally start at the minimum of the pay scale.
- A higher starting salary may be negotiated where a candidate demonstrates exceptional skills, knowledge, or experience.
