About the Role
Miss J’s Cafe is hiring energetic and customer-focused Team Members. In this role, you will prepare fresh food, deliver excellent customer service, maintain cleanliness, and help create a great experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly.
- Prepare menu items including sandwiches, salads, soups, and daily specials according to Miss J’s Café standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, ovens, blenders, toasters, etc.).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including dining room, kitchen, and restrooms.
- Handle cash and payments accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Assist with stocking, inventory, and receiving deliveries.
- Work cooperatively with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Previous customer service or food service experience is a plus, but not required — we will train motivated candidates.
- Positive, friendly attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
