About the Role
This role supports construction and CPI projects in the North Asia region, requiring regular travel. You will be part of a global network of H&S professionals, driving H&S risk management through data and expertise. The position involves resolving issues, managing H&S teams, and improving H&S activities by demonstrating best practices and developing business competencies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with DCPD Construction managers to prioritize H&S in planning and execution.
- Ensures and monitors General Contractors and AWS vendors compliance to GMR requirements.
- Performs project H&S kickoff sessions and reviews of Construction Safety Management Plans.
- Documents data and anecdotes in standard reporting tools for leadership teams.
- Identifies improvement opportunities and partners with the DCHS Operational Team on regional issues.
- Audits projects to ensure processes are in place and followed, analyzing data for trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Conducts regular site visits with project managers and H&S consultants.
- Hosts project and regional specific contractor and internal team H&S kickoff and annual performance review sessions.
- Supports the wider APJC HS Team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously and driving goals to completion.
Skills
- Effective communication (verbal, written, public speaking).
- Diplomacy, patience, and tact.
- Knowledge of jurisdictional requirements, regional best practices, cultural norms, and location specific characteristics.
