About the Role
Develop and maintain ticket sales and service across venues, including season and partial ticket plans, premium hospitality, group ticket packages, dining reservations, and daily seats. Sales will be facilitated by responding to incoming inquiries and outbound efforts to generate new business. Seeking an individual with a fresh mindset and new sales strategies for a fast-paced schedule.
Responsibilities
- Sell and service all ticket products across venues.
- Respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and live Web chat inquiries for ticket and hospitality information, services, and pricing.
- Meet individual and department sales goals and build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Close sales and coordinate ticket distribution.
- Explain options for facilities, food service, entertainment, and amenities to clients.
- Prospect and follow up on sales leads.
- Execute multiple touchpoints with existing clients to develop business.
- Maintain a contact database and report updates for clients daily.
- Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment, and other required activities.
- Assist with event set-up, including displaying signage and preparing gates.
- Sell reserved seating and event hospitality tickets to patrons.
- Provide excellent customer service, respond to requests for information, and offer assistance.
- Utilize problem-solving techniques for customer inquiries and concerns.
- Manage daily activity using the Ticketmaster Archtics system.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of sports team sales, general business sales, or sports management experience preferred.
- Excellent oral, written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and master new software programs, including NYRA’s CRM and ticketing system.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and adhere to deadlines.
- Driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to Saratoga in the Summer.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Physically capable of continuous standing and walking.
- Able to climb multiple flights of stairs.
