Responsibilities
- Support operations and nutrition teams in nutritional analysis related to menus.
- Support wellness programming under the direction of a supervising Dietitian.
- Carry out plans related to nutritional programs and strategies.
- Ensure established protocols are executed consistently, including working with guidelines, training teams, and reporting on compliance.
- Receive and track recipes, enter them into nutritional analysis software, and communicate missing information.
- Conduct weekly menu review and audits of cafes for compliance with menuing protocols.
- Assist with signage and communication of nutrition data for menu labeling.
- Assist in routine monitoring of nutrition program details, including menu entry and communication.
- Assist with delivery of food allergen awareness training.
- Assist in routine monitoring of food allergen awareness protocols.
- Assist the supervising Dietitian in site-specific wellness programming, including demonstrations, events, and social media campaigns.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of nutrition and basic culinary skills.
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nutrition and health care needs of the aged and chronically ill.
- Ability to work with the aged and chronically ill.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
