About the Role

BSI is implementing SAP S/4HANA and standardizing Finance operations. This role will define the future-state approach to project costing and profitability, sitting at the intersection of FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Finance Transformation. You will lead the development of globally consistent Standard Cost Rates to better understand service costs and profitability, shaping the future model by defining costing principles and translating them into an approach supporting project profitability and gross margin reporting. You will build stakeholder alignment and ensure successful implementation within the SAP S/4HANA environment, making a meaningful contribution to a major global transformation program.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of BSI's future-state global approach to Standard Cost Rates, project costing and profitability.
Understand and consolidate existing costing practices into a streamlined global model.
Partner with FP&A, Commercial Finance, and business leaders to analyze revenue and cost drivers impacting project profitability and gross margin.
Develop clear design principles for calculating, governing, maintaining, and applying resource costs.
Translate the agreed methodology into practical profitability cost rate cards with Commercial Finance teams.
Define ownership, governance, controls, and decision-making processes for accurate and transparent costing information.
Partner with PSA/OTC teams to manage employee cost data and rate cards in Workday and integrate with SAP S/4HANA.
Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to build alignment around the future-state model.
Assess change impact and support adoption of the standardized costing model.
Establish a long-term governance framework, including ownership, review cycles, controls, and decision-making forums.
Ensure costing and profitability outputs provide meaningful insights for commercial and operational decision-making.

Requirements

Strong experience in project profitability, costing, gross margin, and commercial financial analysis within a revenue-generating business.
Experience developing or standardizing a costing methodology or cost-rate approach across a complex organization is ideal.
Strong understanding of how revenue and cost drivers determine commercial profitability.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA or large-scale Finance Transformation is beneficial, but deep systems expertise is not essential.
Accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
Ability to translate complex financial concepts into practical solutions.
Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, including experience with senior Finance and business stakeholders.
