About the Role
The Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Office team comprises key engineering executives who support Google for high-level customer meetings and presentations. Members are excellent public speakers, adding value in high-stakes environments with deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AI, and the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Step into high-stakes executive meetings requiring a deft touch and deep technical understanding.
- Take on speaking engagements with the potential to be market movers.
- Build trust and collaborate with other Product Areas like DeepMind (GDM), Geo, Research, and Jigsaw to co-design solutions with customers.
- Help build out massive initiatives such as Gemini for Science, Gemini for Policy Making, and Threat Management for Governments.
- Act as a mentor across GPS Customer Engineering.
- Elevate the entire team through podcasts, internal training, and real-time position papers that decode market changes.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required (approximately 50%).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
- Experience with modern artificial intelligence (AI) paradigms, generative AI, and data technologies, including reviewing technical solutions.
