About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the consumer, category, and channel strategy for our 'out of home' sector in the UK, supporting European expansion. This role involves delivering key insights, strengthening customer relationships, and driving competitive differentiation through thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Create a clear vision, strategic priorities, targets, tactics, enablers, and a roadmap to win.
- Identify and communicate insights to support strategy creation.
- Understand competitive positioning and identify opportunities for business and customer USPs.
- Develop executional plans with commercial and culinary teams to drive sales performance.
- Provide relevant insights and strategic thinking to support channel and customer plans.
- Anticipate stakeholder needs, creating an enriched experience and commercial wins.
- Conduct tailored category reviews and presentations to position NWF as thought leaders.
- Drive and guide new product listings with insight-led positioning.
- Plan, attend, and participate in customer-facing and industry activities to strengthen NWF's visibility and market relationships.
- Create engaging marketing material and manage operational assets for events.
- Monitor trends, consumer behaviors, competitor activity, and culinary trends, distilling them into an engaging format.
- Combine broad insight intelligence to identify compelling insights and guide recommendations.
- Act as the voice of the consumer, upskilling internal business functions and external customers with engaging insights.
- Utilize marketing toolkits to bring data alive, including marketing digests, monthly reporting, videography, workshops, and presentations.
- Work with agencies to optimize insights tools and make recommendations for building insight capabilities.
- Attend events and report key learnings across the business with engaging content.
- Work closely with culinary and R&D teams to shape pipeline planning.
- Provide clear, compelling insights and prioritize focus, translating consumer, competitor, and culinary insights into product and category opportunities.
- Present category visions and pipeline proposals with strong storytelling.
- Monitor and capture market performance, customer, and competitor activity, reporting outputs to inform decision-making.
- Review performance data and share consumer and category insights to inform sales tactics.
- Provide recommendations to influence 4P's (product, price, place, promotion) and differentiate customers.
- Translate strategy into execution and deliver agreed projects to achieve business objectives.
- Communicate customer priorities for owned areas, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Challenge and evaluate requests to ensure optimal project delivery for all stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with commercial, culinary, R&D, and other stakeholders to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.
- Support the function in elevating outputs, identifying ways to enhance personal and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 4-8+ years of experience in FMCG, B2B Marketing, Customer Marketing, Food Service, Food Ingredients, Manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience as a Marketing Manager or an experienced Assistant Marketing Manager ready for progression.
- Customer-facing experience working with food service chains and retailers.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Culinary, R&D, and Customer teams.
- Ability to translate data, trends, insights, and customer needs into relevant business recommendations and activation ideas.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Familiarity with industry data and agency platforms.
- Desirable language skills to support European expansion.
