About the Role
Ferrovial Construction is seeking an MEP Sub Agent to join their team at Heathrow Airport, contributing to complex infrastructure projects with a focus on high quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures, including method statements, risk assessments and briefings, while setting a strong personal example in health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Support the MEP Agent with cost management processes and programme preparation.
- Manage and mentor site engineers to maintain strong engineering control and accurate project records.
- Work with commercial teams to ensure measurement and payment records are prepared accurately and on time.
- Work with the MEP Agent to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works designs.
- Inform the MEP Agent of any potential commercial or contractual risks.
- Manage material orders and supplier relationships to ensure required materials are delivered on time.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure services are delivered effectively and in line with company policies.
- Promote company values in all interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors and external contacts.
- Prepare and deliver daily activity briefings and maintain a regular site diary with relevant updates.
Requirements
- Developing commercial and contractual knowledge, with evidence of practical application.
- Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment.
- Good people management experience.
- Experience in managing subcontractors.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Technical knowledge of MEP engineering, supported by relevant project experience.
- Proven experience at MEP Section Engineer level on site across both civil engineering and utilities projects.
- Computer literacy.
- Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent (desirable).
