About the Role
Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Civils Sub Agent to join their team at Heathrow Airport, contributing to complex infrastructure projects. This role involves ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance while supporting cost management, program preparation, and team mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures, including method statements, risk assessments, and briefings, setting a strong personal example in health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Support the Agent with cost management processes and program preparation.
- Mentor site engineers to maintain strong engineering control and accurate project records.
- Work with commercial teams to ensure measurement and payment records are prepared accurately and on time.
- Work with the Agent to allocate labor, plant, materials, and temporary works designs.
- Inform the Agent of any potential commercial or contractual risks.
- Manage material orders and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure services are delivered effectively and in line with company policies.
- Promote company values in all interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts.
- Prepare and deliver daily activity briefings and maintain a regular site diary with relevant updates.
Requirements
- Developing commercial and contractual knowledge, with evidence of practical application.
- Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment.
- Good people management experience.
- Experience in managing subcontractors.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Technical knowledge of civil engineering, supported by relevant project experience.
- Proven experience at Section Engineer level on site across both civil engineering and utilities projects.
- Computer literacy.
