About the Role
The 92nd Street Y in New York City seeks a per diem, on-call Associate to serve patrons at our box office during events. Responsibilities
- Sell tickets to patrons in person from the box office window.
- Distribute tickets for will-call.
- Assist with resolving customer and transaction issues at the window.
- Maintain reconciliation and post-show deposits.
- Communicate 92NY’s ticketing policies and procedures.
- Perform additional functions and activities as directed.
Requirements
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weeknights and weekends.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during event days/nights.
- Submit a personalized cover letter and resume.
Skills
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Tech-savviness for operating computerized ticketing systems.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the arts.
- Prior experience in customer service or cashiering role preferred.
- Familiarity with Tessitura software (preferred but not mandatory).
