About the Role

This is the first dedicated pipeline-building role at BioScout, an AgTech company with world-first sensor technology for detecting airborne crop disease. The role involves cold calling for the first nine months to book discovery meetings, with a clear path to running your own sales conversations. This position is crucial for filling the diaries of the Chief Revenue Officer and the ANZ business development manager as the company grows.

Responsibilities

  • Cold call growers and agribusinesses across Australia and New Zealand for the first nine months.
  • Book discovery meetings for the Chief Revenue Officer and the ANZ business development manager.
  • Sit in on discovery meetings to learn the sales process.
  • Build and maintain target lists.
  • Report on sales messaging effectiveness.
  • Maintain the CRM.
  • Conduct initial discovery and qualification calls from around month nine.
  • Book meetings within the second week of employment.
  • Achieve a target of 16 discovery meetings attended per month.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cold calling as an SDR or BDR.
  • Willingness to spend nine months in a cold calling role before transitioning to full-cycle sales.
  • Ability to manage oneself and work independently.
  • Ability to be in the Sydney office four to five days a week.
  • Some connection to farming or experience selling physical or technical products is beneficial but not required.
  • The successful candidate will receive 12 months of ongoing training and support from Pointer.

  • $80,000 to $85,000 Base + Super
  • $120,000 to $130,000 OTE in year one
  • $150,000 to $160,000 OTE in year two
