About the Role
This role involves providing case direction and supervision to social workers, enablement and assessment officers, and social work students to support teamwork flow. You will maintain a small complex caseload and work collaboratively with health partners and other colleagues as part of a multi-agency approach. Responsibilities include undertaking statutory care and support functions under the Care Act, assessing eligible mental health needs, and chairing safeguarding meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide case direction and supervision to social workers, enablement and assessment officers, and social work students.
- Maintain a small complex caseload.
- Collaborate with health partners (BEH) and other health and social care colleagues in a multi-agency approach.
- Undertake statutory care and support functions under the Care Act.
- Assess eligible mental health needs and Section 117 aftercare under the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Chair safeguarding meetings.
Requirements
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in managing complex and multi-dynamic cases.
- Experience in facilitating hospital discharges.
- Experience of providing leadership support to social work colleagues.
- A team player who will promote a positive working environment.
- Promote social justice and human rights of vulnerable adults in professional practice and multi-professional / multi-agency working.
- Emotional resilience and confidence to provide strong leadership support to team members in challenging circumstances.
