About the Role
As a Software Engineer III, you will play a critical role in developing and building the world’s most advanced robotic fulfillment system within the Nimble Cloud Logistics team. This lean, 10-person team is core to delivering effective solutions to Nimble’s customers. Occasional extended hours, including weekends, may be required to launch large revenue opportunities. This role is approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend focused. No robotics or logistics experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation workflows
- Write unit/integration/system tests
- Conduct reviews to ensure rigorous design, elegant coding, and effective performance tuning
- Push and maintain code in production
- Be available for production support
- Measure and debug performance bottlenecks for a suite of products
- Ship a feature end to end: frontend, backend, CI, infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Solid understanding of cloud security practices
- Experience building full stack cloud applications (both frontend and backend)
- Experience with REST, SQL, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, message brokering, and Docker
- Good understanding of writing unit and integration tests
- Strong technical documentation skills (architecture diagrams + sequence diagramming)
