Responsibilities

  • Provide essential care and support in the homes of clients, following personalized care plans.
  • Support with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Assist with medication preparation and administration.
  • Help with mobility and the safe use of aids and equipment.
  • Prepare meals and snacks, and offer mealtime support.
  • Carry out light domestic duties such as laundry, making beds, and light cleaning.
  • Offer companionship and build meaningful relationships.
  • Engage in conversations, activities, and outings.
  • Manage medication, including collecting prescriptions and ensuring safe administration.
  • Assist with nutrition and mealtimes, considering dietary needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and walking support.
  • Monitor health and report changes in condition.
  • Help maintain community and family connections.
  • Offer emotional support, empathy, and reassurance.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure safety and respond to emergencies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and families.
