About the Role
Amazon Japan is seeking a Financial Analyst for its Transportation business in Tokyo. This role provides key decision-making support for Amazon Transportation, focusing on delivery services, capacity, network design, and costs related to commercial transportation partners and the internal Amazon network.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring exceptional controllership across Amazon Transportation spending, including overseeing the monthly close process, ensuring proper controls, and auditing data for accuracy.
- Monitoring and driving the performance of Amazon Transportation functions by preparing and reviewing operational and financial metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Championing technology and automation improvements for the finance function, including participating in new operational tool implementations.
- Continuously seeking opportunities for delivery experience improvements and cost reduction, partnering with operations leadership for implementation.
Requirements
- Business level of Japanese language skill (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information effectively.
- Ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute results.
- Strong leadership skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes.
- Experience operating successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.
