About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel Corporate & Regulatory to expand our expertise in corporate and banking regulatory law. You will advise internal stakeholders on a variety of legal issues in corporate law, corporate governance, M&A, corporate financing, and capital markets law. A significant part of your role will be advising on banking regulatory law. You will develop pragmatic solutions in a broad spectrum of topics in close coordination with management and the General Counsel, while also working closely with and managing external counsel.
Responsibilities
- Be part of the Corporate / Regulatory team in our legal department.
- Expand the corporate law area in a fast-growing company and a highly regulated environment.
- Focus on corporate governance (especially board meetings, general meetings, supervisory board, and management board), corporate financing, and M&A.
- Identify and assess legal and business risks, develop solution strategies, and provide creative support during implementation.
- Collaborate interdisciplinarily with Finance, the Executive Office, and the Banking Team on legal matters.
- Advise on employee participation programs.
- Independently support complex national and international transactions.
- Support the planned IPO.
- Keep regulatory requirements in mind for all processes.
Requirements
- Completed first and second state examinations in law with above-average results.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in corporate law, particularly stock corporation law, gained at a reputable law firm or international company (preferably in the financial sector).
- Initial knowledge of banking regulatory law or a strong willingness to learn this area.
- Strong interest in technical and business contexts as well as digital business models.
- Independent and highly structured work style, with the ability to make and defend decisions.
- Willingness to pragmatically tackle new topics and legal areas and closely follow dynamic regulatory developments.
- Ability to present complex issues and legal considerations in an audience-appropriate manner.
- High level of integrity, commitment, and initiative, with no aversion to responsibility.
