About the Role
Amazon Japan is seeking an experienced Facility Launch Coordinator to support the launch and operation of new projects within Amazon's expanding business. This role is crucial for ensuring timely service activation and operational support at new facilities, contributing to Amazon's position as a global leader.
Responsibilities
- Support the launch and operation of new projects at Amazon facilities without delay.
- Expand supplier selection and negotiate for economies of scale to mitigate risks associated with a rapidly growing business.
- Consult with administrative bodies and stay informed about new laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Conduct design reviews of existing facility information, organize requirements, and create budgets during the initial stages of new facility launches.
- Organize requirements, create tender documents, manage bidding processes, evaluate bids, negotiate, and finalize contracts for facility services such as building management, waste disposal, shuttle buses, parking, and canteens.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure timely startup of facility services.
- Stabilize and improve service levels in cooperation with suppliers after launch.
- Propose new solutions and identify issues in existing facilities with Facilities Standards in mind, contributing to the creation of high standards for new facilities.
- Create internal documentation (40%): primarily focusing on analysis of existing facility issues, cost analysis, and proposal creation.
- Coordinate with various vendors and suppliers (20%).
- Manage information for various service contracts and create/update service agreements (20%).
- Handle practical tasks such as ordering various services and supplies (10%).
- Identify issues and conduct on-site improvement activities for existing facilities (10%).
- Ensure services are launched on time, working backward from the service launch date to organize requirements, obtain internal approvals, and hand over to the site.
- Adapt to daily improvement activities and update standards throughout the year.
- Clarify ambiguous situations and drive projects forward by organizing information with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Over 1 year of professional work experience.
- University degree (Master's degree obtained).
- Business-level Japanese proficiency.
- Experience in facility management, general affairs, or project management is preferred.
- Experience in numerical data analysis, statistics, budget creation, and management is preferred.
- Experience communicating in English is preferred.
- Experience improving operations using AI is preferred.
- Experience creating documents such as approval requests is preferred.
