About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our San Francisco engineering hub. In this role, you will own the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of the high-performance network infrastructure that powers our programmatic Demand-Side Platform — a real-time bidding environment where milliseconds matter and reliability is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-density data center networks utilizing Mellanox switches and adapters.
- Administer and optimize network nodes running Cumulus Linux, ensuring stable and high-performance routing and switching.
- Manage and orchestrate network operations using Netris for automated, controller-based networking.
- Monitor and tune network performance for real-time systems, with a focus on throughput and latency.
- Implement and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs) to protect infrastructure and data assets.
- Develop automation workflows to eliminate manual configuration, improve consistency, and accelerate deployment cycles.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional network engineering experience (6+ years for Senior-level consideration).
- Deep familiarity with Mellanox Spectrum switches and ConnectX adapters.
- Strong proficiency in Cumulus Linux (Debian-based) and general Linux system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Netris for VPC-style networking on-premises or in hybrid cloud environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and LACP.
- Proficiency in Python or Go for network automation.
