About the Role
As a Python Tutor/Instructor, you will guide participants through their programming further education, providing technical and didactic support. You will answer questions, help overcome challenges in exercises and projects, and ensure participants can work independently with Python upon completion. You will also assess learning progress, conduct final exams, and provide structured, constructive feedback. Your close contact with learners will actively contribute to the further development of our training programs in collaboration with the Coaching Team Lead and the Learning Team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical answers to learner questions (written and verbal).
- Teach and reinforce training content in live sessions, webinars, classrooms, and individual learning support.
- Support learners with uncertainties during the learning process, exercises, and projects.
- Conduct and evaluate final exams and determine training success.
- Create, prepare, and further develop learning materials on object-oriented programming, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, development environments (e.g., VS Code), Git, Bash/Scripting, and GenAI tools.
- Ensure quality of existing training, including providing feedback to the Learning Team.
- Conduct individual coaching sessions and support new team members.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a comparable qualification.
- Practical experience in software development (e.g., web development, data processing, automation) and knowledge of object-oriented programming.
- Very good programming skills in Python, familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks and IDEs (e.g., VS Code), and good practical experience in Bash/Scripting.
- Experience with version control (Git/GitHub) and common development environments.
- Didactic experience in teaching technical or subject-specific content to non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of didactic concepts in adult education and online further education.
- High customer and service orientation, empathy, clear communication, and constructive feedback culture.
- Hands-on mentality, team spirit, resilience, and flexibility.
- Very good German and English language skills (min. C1).
