About the Role

This position is responsible for the design, development, operation, and improvement of data infrastructure, reports, and dashboards that support sales and marketing activities. The role involves promoting the development and improvement of infrastructure for accumulating data unique to Japan, in addition to the stable operation of existing environments. It also includes considering, proposing, and implementing mechanisms to make it easier for sales and marketing departments to obtain necessary insights from data, while incorporating generative AI to improve the efficiency of development and operational tasks. Collaboration with business units, sales and marketing departments, overseas related teams, and external partners is expected to realize business needs as continuously usable mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate data and BI infrastructure.
  • Develop data integration processes, data models, reports, and dashboards connecting core business systems, CRM systems, and data warehouses.
  • Establish infrastructure for accumulating data unique to Japan and integrating it with other internal systems.
  • Ensure stable operation through monitoring, testing, incident response, documentation, and change management, continuously improving data quality, usability, and operational efficiency.
  • Visualize sales activities and performance.
  • Build an environment where performance indicators commonly used across multiple business units can be measured and displayed with consistent definitions.
  • Develop mechanisms to translate 'what sales activities should be conducted and to what extent' into data models and indicators, and monitor actual activity status.
  • Improve input processes, utilization promotion measures, and reports to ensure sales and marketing departments can continuously input and utilize necessary data in the CRM system.
  • Propose technology and continuously advance capabilities.
  • Organize challenges and requests from sales and marketing departments into data and system requirements, and proceed with problem-solving while clearly explaining implementation methods, options, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Lead the construction of new mechanisms, technical verification, knowledge transfer, and problem-solving involving multiple departments by collaborating with overseas digital/IT related teams, external partners, and internal/external experts.
  • Continuously advance the data and reporting environment by incorporating generative AI and automation technologies into development, operational tasks, and data utilization.

Requirements

  • Experience in designing, developing, and operating data integration infrastructure, data warehouses, or data lakes that connect multiple systems, along with data processing and data modeling using SQL.
  • Experience in developing reports, dashboards, or analytical data models using tools such as Power BI.
  • Practical experience incorporating generative AI into daily development and operational tasks, such as SQL and code creation/verification, automation of data processing and routine tasks, investigation of problem causes, and creation of technical documentation.
  • High communication skills in Japanese and English proficiency to conduct business with overseas stakeholders.
