About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Draftsman / Designer - Rail for our major infrastructure projects with a focus on railway planning at one of our locations in Germany. This role is within our global Mobility business unit, contributing to the development of thriving, connected cities and communities by optimizing the mobility of people and the transport of goods.
Responsibilities
- Create site plans, cross-sections, and other planning documents for railway lines and all railway facilities (tracks, switches, level crossings, platforms, etc.) through all service phases of HOAI.
- Create drainage plans in close cooperation with project engineers for design and execution planning in the field of railway infrastructure.
- Participate in interface management, including coordination and integration of internal and external specialist planning, partly using BIM.
- Independently develop detailed plans in close cooperation with project engineers and project managers.
- Complete project tasks on time and to quality standards.
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in railway engineering/civil engineering with a focus on construction, or completed training as a construction draftsman or construction technician.
- Several years of professional experience in the planning of railway facilities, with expertise in track construction and drainage being desirable.
- Good comprehension and spatial reasoning skills, teamwork ability, solution-oriented thinking, and a high degree of self-directed work.
- Good knowledge of relevant regulations and enthusiasm for the BIM method.
- Software proficiency in relevant CAD software; experience with ProVI is desirable.
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
- Good English language skills are an advantage.
