About the Role
Lead the strategic oversight and management of contracts and asset performance frameworks, supporting the whole-of-life delivery of critical motorway assets, ensuring performance, compliance and value for money outcomes within a focused portfolio of critical operating infrastructure. Implement governance frameworks that support strong asset performance across service delivery, safety, asset assurance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic oversight and management of contracts and asset performance frameworks.
- Ensure performance, compliance and value for money outcomes within a focused portfolio of critical operating infrastructure.
- Implement governance frameworks that support strong asset performance across service delivery, safety, asset assurance and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with key stakeholders, including asset managers and internal and external service providers.
- Ensure contracts are delivering efficient, reliable and customer-focused outcomes.
- Negotiate contractual arrangements, transition assets to operations, manage performance, and coordinate Subject Matter Expert inputs.
- Manage improvement initiatives and resolve complex issues impacting network operations.
- Provide expert advice and insight, frameworks or evidence-based reporting to senior leaders.
- Ensure risks, trends and performance issues are identified and addressed proactively.
- Drive continuous improvement across contract performance.
- Maintain strong governance and ensure alignment with government priorities.
Requirements
- Experienced leader in operating unfractured assets.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical intensive assets and outsourced asset management services delivery.
- Expertise in contract governance, performance management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage complex relationships and deliver outcomes.
- Well-developed commercial judgement.
- Strong understanding of how contract performance influences asset, customer and operational outcomes.
- Experienced in analysing performance trends, managing risks and driving improvements.
- Ability to balance performance, risk and cost.
- Ensure motorist, worker and asset safety.
- Strong communicator who builds credibility and trust with stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate complex commercial issues in operational environments.
- Leadership capability to guide teams and deliver high-quality asset outcomes that support network performance.
