About the Role
As a Facilities Engineer Technician, you will be responsible for the stable operation of power and cooling equipment within Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers. You will contribute to social infrastructure by operating facilities that house IT equipment and ensuring the stable operation of customer applications and websites 24/7.
Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment within data center facilities.
- Respond to equipment failures to minimize customer downtime.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to equipment failure, maintenance, or expansion.
- Install and remove equipment used in data centers.
Requirements
- Experience or basic understanding of facilities, electrical, mechanical, fire prevention, control systems, or other related equipment (approximately 1-3 years).
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including 12-hour shifts (with 2 hours of break) on a 4-day work, 3-day off schedule.
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing approximately 18 kg using assistive devices.
