About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer to design and build features for the GORA platform, Japan's premier golf course reservation service. You will contribute to a growing microservice architecture, working on backend systems that manage reservations, player profiles, swing analysis, scoring, rewards, and course data for millions of golfers. The role involves designing and implementing API endpoints, building data pipelines, participating in platform migrations, and working across the full stack.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new API endpoints.
- Build and maintain batch jobs for data pipelines.
- Contribute to ongoing platform migrations.
- Work across the full stack, from database schema to REST contract to integration test.
- Write production-quality code.
- Understand the domain deeply.
- Take ownership of features end-to-end.
Requirements
- 5 years of web application development experience using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Restful API development is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
- Experience with Kafka.
- Good knowledge and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience building CICD and GitOps from scratch (e.g., Github Action, ArgoCD, ArgoWorkflow).
- Proactive and possess strong ownership for maintained products and systems.
- Experience using AI development tools (e.g., ClaudeCode, Codex).
- Experience of microservice architecture and design patterns.
- Experience as a tech lead or architect in a horizontal role within a large organization.
- Experience maintaining systems long-term for regular lifecycle execution.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, ELK, PagerDuty.
