About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Unity Developer to join our Core Game Tech (CGT) Team, which is responsible for the technology underlying all Kolibri games. This role involves consulting game teams, investigating technical challenges, and building essential systems and integrations. You will work in a specialized team with technical decision-makers, significantly impacting all games in our portfolio. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical problems, embraces new challenges, and drives initiatives forward.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build shared systems for multiple live games with dynamic events and scheduled content for millions of users.
  • Drive third-party integrations and keep the portfolio current by evaluating and integrating SDKs, managing SDK and Unity version upgrades, and assessing cross-game impact.
  • Advise game teams as their technical counterpart, promoting standardization and adoption of shared solutions.
  • Deliver compliance and privacy features across the portfolio, including age assurance APIs, CMP implementations, and GDPR data deletion flows.
  • Investigate open-ended technical problems and translate regulations, vendor changes, and internal needs into concrete technical requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in C# and Unity3D.
  • Experience in non-gaming contexts is also relevant.
  • Wide understanding of Unity functionality, familiarity with native implementations, and backend interactions.
  • Proficiency in performance investigations.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Credibility to influence adoption of solutions by teams outside of your direct reporting line.
  • Experience building libraries, packages, APIs, or tooling for other developers.
  • Instinct for creating adoptable developer tools.
  • Ability to plan, communicate, and execute technical solutions understandably for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to derive requirements from ambiguous or external sources like regulations, platform policies, or vendor documentation.
  • Genuine appetite for constantly learning new areas of the stack.
