About the Role

The Sr. Client Service Representative in the Global Fund Services Dept. oversees Fund Accounting and Administration, Transfer Agency, and Custody activities for cross-border funds distributed to Japanese investors. This role serves as the primary contact for institutional investors, asset managers, distributors, and trust banks, managing day-to-day servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively respond to client inquiries and provide filtering for escalation.
  • Assist in coordination of new fund and product implementations and conversions.
  • Work effectively with internal teams to prioritize client requests, deliverables, and issue resolution.
  • Execute reviews of internal reporting for assigned client relationships and promptly escalate issues identified.
  • Utilize relevant internal technology solutions to effectively manage client inquiries.
  • Introduce and familiarize clients with new technology, automation tools, and products.
  • Participate in scheduled client meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to all established procedures, controls, and best practices.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 1 to 3 years of financial industry experience, with a preference for a client servicing focused environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve client needs.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external client relationships.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Basic understanding of financial instruments.
  • Basic understanding of market participants in the fund services business.
  • Fund accounting knowledge is preferred.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
