About the Role
DLA Piper is seeking an Attorney to join its growing Proposition 65 practice, part of its nationally recognized Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions group. This position is a non-partnership track and is open to any US office.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and external audiences.
- Produce high-quality work and respond to correspondence in an efficient, timely, and professional manner.
- Meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and commit to meeting high standards.
- Comply with firm policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidences as required in a law firm environment.
Requirements
- Must be admitted to the California bar and must also be admitted in the bar for the jurisdiction in which you live (if not CA).
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm or a law firm with an equivalent practice.
- Experience with Proposition 65, consumer class action defense, consumer product regulatory counseling, complex commercial litigation and/or consumer litigation (defense) is a plus.
- California state court experience is a plus.
- Previous federal clerkship is a plus.
- All candidates must provide a cover letter, resume, transcript, and a writing sample not substantially edited by anyone other than the applicant.
