About the Role
EisnerAmper is seeking a Tax Director for its State & Local Tax team. This role involves new business opportunities, servicing existing clients with compliance and consulting, thought leadership, technology initiatives, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Provide multistate consulting and compliance services, including technical review of partnership and corporate state and local tax returns.
- Address multistate tax issues such as allocation, apportionment, modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation.
- Handle residency issues.
- Perform sales tax consulting, including nexus and taxability studies.
- Engage in audit defense.
- Conduct research and writing.
- Perform due diligence.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other in-house tax professionals and clients.
- Review and consult on pass-through entity issues, including estimated payment, withholding, and composite tax calculations.
- Review investor packages, including state K-1s and grids and related filings.
- Research and analyze state tax legislation and its impact on clients.
- Assist with various tax consulting projects, including research and writing for tax planning, restructuring, and accounting for income taxes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
- CPA, EA, or JD.
- 10+ years of experience in state taxation.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience.

Salary/Compensations
- For Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $300,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
