About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the highest quality of client plans.
  • Schedule and manage the daily workflow of client relationships.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements for better client service and cost reduction.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of financial statements and related regulatory filings.
  • Play an active role in managing relationships with clients and coworkers.
  • Set clear client expectations.
  • Oversee the effective coordination of activities with other departments.
  • Ensure all personnel are appropriately selected, trained, and given timely performance feedback.
  • Ensure all controls and procedures are adhered to and recommend changes.
  • Facilitate the successful start-up of new funds and conversion of new clients.
  • Ensure effective use of the reporting system and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Remain informed of regulatory and reporting requirement changes and new industry developments.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and strive for greater efficiencies.
  • Develop internal training classes.
  • Complete other special projects or tasks assigned.
  • Play a key role in staff management.

Requirements

  • Minimum University degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.).
  • 6 plus years of experience.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills necessary.
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) is a plus.
