About the Role
This position will be a critical contributor with ownership for designing and implementing complex wealth and investment management workflows leveraged by some of the largest participants in the industry. The role requires a strong full-stack engineer who can work across rich web functionality, backend services, automated testing, performance engineering, and system scalability while contributing to sustainable technical design and high-quality delivery in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Work under minimal supervision to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to turn business requirements into working and sustainable software.
- Participate in the design of product architecture within the team’s scope of responsibility.
- Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and services using Java, C#, SQL, React, or other related software engineering technologies.
- Provide thoughtful insight and suggestions in code reviews.
- Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product.
- Mentor junior developers and help establish engineering best practices across the team.
- Conduct manual tests to ensure a high-quality product.
- Contribute to written design and API documentation and participate in the customer documentation process.
- Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the CRD scrum methodology.
- Participate in cross-team group activities to complete assignments.
Requirements
- B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required.
- 4 to 7 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management is strongly desired.
- Hands-on development experience with relevant technologies including Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, and related software engineering technologies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment.
