About the Role
As Senior Manager, Platform Engineering & Delivery, you will lead multiple delivery capability domains within Platform Engineering focused on improving software delivery across SiriusXM. You will define and execute the annual and multi-year delivery engineering strategy and roadmap, ensuring that our platforms and tools measurably improve developer productivity, software quality, operational consistency, release reliability, adoption, and security posture. You will establish shared engineering standards and governance, influence senior leaders across engineering, infrastructure, security, and product, and make investment, staffing, and prioritization decisions that build a strong organization and develop future leaders.

- Improve development speed, release reliability, and consistency across teams through CI/CD tooling and shared components.
- Ensure software packages, build outputs, and containerized workloads are reliable, traceable, secure, and standardized for easy consumption and delivery.
- Drive capabilities for code quality and security scanning to enhance maintainability, engineering effectiveness, and enable secure-by-default delivery practices by shifting security earlier in the development lifecycle.
- Partner closely with security, infrastructure, developer experience, and application engineering teams to identify friction, improve workflows, and deliver scalable shared solutions.
- Own technical and organizational decision-making for the delivery engineering portfolio, ensuring solutions align with broader platform strategy and business goals.
- Set priorities across multiple concurrent efforts, resolve cross-functional trade-offs, and manage material risks, dependencies, service reliability, capacity, and investment decisions.
- Establish and evolve engineering processes, delivery standards, governance, and secure-by-default practices.
- Use adoption, developer productivity, delivery performance, reliability, quality, and security metrics to evaluate platform effectiveness and hold teams accountable for measurable operational outcomes.
- Coach and develop technical leads and engineers, build a strong leadership bench, and create succession and development plans.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR on hiring, organization design, workforce planning, performance management, and staffing decisions across the delivery engineering portfolio.
- Drive adoption of shared delivery platforms and standards across multiple engineering organizations.
- Present recommendations, performance results, risks, and investment trade-offs to senior management and secure alignment on changes that affect company-wide software delivery.
- Plan and manage the team’s operating capacity and approved tooling or vendor investments, balancing cost, reliability, security, and developer experience while ensuring resources are aligned to strategic priorities.
