About the Role
This position supports Residential engineering design and development by assisting the engineering team and performing product development evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Assists with assembling prototypes and application fixtures
- Performs development testing as directed and supervised by engineering staff
- Perform Engineering Specification testing in accordance with documented internal procedures
- Assists engineers in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and replication of product failures
- Participates in maintenance of the engineering lab including equipment, materials and component inventory
- Prepares documentation and kit of electronic components for prototype build activity
Requirements
- Capable of soldering and rework of electronic assemblies including all type of SMT components
- Able to operate lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency generators, network analyzers
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with Schematic Capture and PCB layout
- Must be able to read and interpret schematics and specifications
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Capable of creating technical / procedural documentation

- Altium experience is a plus

Salary/Compensations
- $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
