About the Role
Join ASX, a leading global securities exchange and trusted market operator, as part of the Data & Integration Platform team. Empower customers to safely access, understand, and share data while creating sustainable solutions in an agile manner.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data objectives and champion the use and evolution of the central data platform.
- Work within a domain-aligned data product team, including line-of-business data owners, SMEs, and technology engineering resources.
- Be hands-on in ingesting core data assets, curating them into source-aligned data products, and creating consumable products (files, reports, dashboards, APIs).
- Participate in a data engineering practice to design and drive the adoption of standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Ensure data pipelines and products are designed and built for critical market infrastructure environments.
Requirements
- Deep experience with a variety of AWS services for ingestion, curation, storage, orchestration, data management, analytics, and distribution.
- Good knowledge of data modeling and structuring data within a data warehousing environment, adhering to best practice data management standards.
- Solid data product architecture and solution design experience.
- Good working knowledge of DevSecOps practices for high automation across complex data pipelines.
- Experience in real-time streaming using Confluence Kafka and AWS services.
- Experience with Airflow, AWS Glue, Apache Iceberg, Athena, RedShift, and DataZone.
- Solid experience in Python, Spark, and Terraform/Terragrunt.
- Experience working within a platform/product operating model leveraging frameworks and development kits for standardization, reuse, and scale.
- Working knowledge of data mesh/data product concepts with federated data ownership and centralized platforms/governance.
- Experience in the Capital Markets domain and understanding of derivative products.
- Legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
