About the Role
Parklife Metro JV is seeking an Accountant to join their Finance team on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role involves preparing accounts, managing financial information, and supporting finance functions under the direction of the Senior Accountant & Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable functions and reporting
- Assist the Accounts Payable function and authorisations
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial accounts
- Assist in the performance of variance analysis on budget-to-actual reporting/GL and Projects
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Fixed Asset management
- Assist in the refinement of management information systems and integrate/improve reporting frameworks
- Assist in the improvement of internal controls and procedures
- Monitoring of record-keeping and compliance requirements
- Assist in the liaison with external auditors where necessary
- Provide financial support to internal stakeholders
- Job costing analysis
- Assist in general accounting functions
- Assist in maintaining internal audit and controls
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role preferably within the construction industry
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
