About the Role
The Water Treatment and Reclamation (WTR) Operations team is responsible for providing continuous, safe, and high-quality utilities to the Fab. This role drives sustainability and operational excellence by adopting advanced technologies for plant resilience, environmental stewardship, and staff safety.
Responsibilities
- Complete project management of multiple projects across UPW systems.
- Participate in and lead commissioning activities, providing subject matter expertise to contractors and the internal team.
- Monitor daily trends, perform equipment inspections, and coordinate with OPS on work orders and process improvement projects.
- Support and collaborate with the plant operations team to develop and implement process improvements.
- Execute complete ownership and accountability of the entire system scope and projects.
- Proactively troubleshoot critical UPW system issues and/or baseline shifts.
- Research and develop innovative technologies to improve UPW quality and reliability.
- Plan, request, and implement UPW system improvements.
- Support instrumentation, maintenance, and operations groups in day-to-day tasks.
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Lead facilities-wide task-force teams to develop more efficient practices and processes.
- Be a visible presence in facilities-wide meetings.
- Create and develop structured step plans for work execution of process improvement and repair work.
- Review SOPs, PLC programming changes, SOOs (sequence of operations), and other administrative tasks.
- Lead system-wide trend analysis and use that analysis to drive system improvements.
Requirements
- B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Process or Industrial Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in an Engineering environment, preferably within Design or Operations.
- Working knowledge of general water treatment technologies and/or processes.
- Advanced knowledge of ultrapure water treatment systems.
