About the Role
Support employees through injury and illness recovery, driving safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes. Manage injury and illness cases across physical and psychological presentations, partnering with employees, leaders, treating practitioners, and insurers to deliver recovery-focused outcomes. Contribute to early intervention, claims performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end injury and illness cases across physical and psychological presentations
- Develop and implement tailored return-to-work plans aligned with medical advice
- Engage with treating practitioners, insurers, and rehabilitation providers
- Support recovery through early intervention and trauma-informed approaches
- Analyse injury and claims trends to support improved recovery outcomes and prevention initiatives
Requirements
- Experience managing injury and illness cases across physical and psychological presentations
- Ability to balance employee recovery outcomes with operational and business needs
- Experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation, or allied health (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology or psychology)
- Strong knowledge of workers compensation legislation and injury management frameworks
- Ability to interpret medical advice and translate it into practical workplace-based recovery plans
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across employees, leaders, and external providers
- Empathy, professionalism, and a practical, solutions-focused approach
