You will also play a crucial role in meeting customer expectations by ensuring their orders are delivered to the right place at the right time. This position will operate within Amazon's new and exciting logistics facilities, aiming to enhance customer experience by delivering products to their homes as quickly as possible. Amazon actively incorporates the latest AI tools, including generative AI, into daily operations to accelerate decision-making and focus on critical judgment and discussion.

  • Manage progress and results of various plans using internal systems.
  • Improve productivity in collaboration with the field.
  • Lead and coordinate various projects and improvement activities.
  • Drive operational improvements beyond maintaining current productivity.
  • Take the lead in progressing and coordinating business improvement projects, considering the introduction of the latest technology and review of processes.

  • Conduct regular meetings with Operations Managers and Area Managers.
  • Resolve operational issues and problems that arise.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans for incidents such as conveyor stoppages.
  • Consider personnel allocation and response methods based on operational issues to prevent product backlogs within the logistics facility.

Requirements

  • Business-level Japanese language skills.
  • Management experience.
  • Proficiency in using Outlook, Word, Excel (functions, charts), and PowerPoint for business analysis and reporting.
  • Over 3 years of experience in managing and improving the flow of people, goods, and money using numerical data and indicators in manufacturing or logistics retail.
  • Over 3 years of experience in leading and managing tasks for multiple individuals (experience in evaluation and personnel development is a plus).
  • Project management experience (regardless of project scale; cross-departmental project experience is a plus).
  • Practical experience using methodologies such as 5S, QC Circle, or Six Sigma.
  • Over 3 years of experience in process and production management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
  • Experience in executing business improvements with initiative and managing results with data (demonstrating continuity and improving productivity/quality in operations).
  • Experience in managing one's own work using numerical data and indicators (analyzing how indicators function against targets and taking action based on this analysis).
  • Positive attitude towards contributing to an inclusive culture and working in a diverse group.
