About the Role

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is building and operating a large-scale trunk transport network connecting Amazon logistics facilities across Japan to deliver products safely and accurately on promised delivery dates. We are looking for a member of the Quality Management (QM) team to manage quality in trunk transport at the Relay Operation Center (ROC), which is at the core of operating this complex network, handling over 5,000 shipments daily. Through this role, you will be involved in building Amazon's transport operation mechanisms and develop your skills in operational design. Responsibilities

Monitor cargo delays to delivery hubs in the assigned area, analyze causes, and respond with daily recovery actions.
Plan and execute medium-to-long-term measures for continuous cargo delay reduction, and measure their effectiveness.
Review operational flows and establish standard processes to implement the above.
Understand team initiatives and drive projects within the assigned business domain.
Identify current issues by analyzing management indicators and data, and plan and execute actions to resolve them.
Detect abnormalities in business processes and implement measures for cause analysis and improvement.

Requirements

Business-level Japanese proficiency (ability to facilitate meetings and create business documents).
Intermediate Excel skills (experience with SUMIF, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Table analysis).
Practical experience in project management or business process improvement (industry not specified).
Knowledge and work experience in the logistics, transportation, or distribution industry.
Experience with KPI setting and process improvement.
Experience using databases such as SQL, Oracle, or Redshift.
Quantitative analytical skills and high IT literacy.
Everyday conversational English proficiency (ability to understand emails and documents in English).
Positive attitude towards contributing to an inclusive culture and working in a diverse group.
