About the Role
Pallet builds AI that runs the physical economy, replacing manual workflows in freight, warehousing, and logistics with intelligent agents. This role is critical for scaling our platform to meet increasing demand and ensuring reliability as we grow.
Responsibilities
- Help scale the platform to millions of AI agent runs per day, addressing capacity, performance, and reliability challenges.
- Make the platform portable across clouds and on-premise customer environments.
- Address complex enterprise integration requirements, including identity, private networking, certificate-based authentication, and data residency.
- Own observability and incident response, including alerting, on-call duties, and post-mortems to prevent recurring issues.
- Improve developer productivity by ensuring fast and dependable local development, CI, deployments, and production debugging.
Requirements
- 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles, ideally at an early-stage company that scaled significantly.
- Demonstrated depth and judgment in infrastructure roles.
- Real depth in at least one area: databases, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, observability, or application frameworks and runtimes.
- A track record of grounding decisions in evidence, including setting SLOs, prioritizing performance work, planning capacity, finding bottlenecks, and understanding system failure points.
