About the Role
Regeneron's Global Technology, Engineering, Operations & Application Managed Services (GTEO) requires a senior leader to own the strategy, planning, design, and transformation for the organization. This role will set the multi-year direction, manage the investment portfolio and budget, and lead major transformation programs to support the company's growth, with a focus on integrating security and AI from the outset.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setting the multi-year strategy and architectural direction for GTEO, translating enterprise priorities into a funded roadmap and setting investment and modernization standards.
- Own the investment portfolio and budget end-to-end, prioritizing and funding against business value and capacity.
- Lead major transformation programs from strategy through delivered value, accountable for business cases and committed benefits.
- Own and shape capacity allocation to ensure a fundable, staffable, and sequencable roadmap.
- Set direction on technology lifecycle, refresh, and technical-debt retirement.
- Prioritize and fund transformation initiatives sourced from Business Process Excellence & User Experience (BPE/UX) and Enterprise Architecture.
- Build security and resilience into strategy and architecture from the start, setting standards in partnership with the CISO organization.
- Set the strategy for AI adoption across GTEO, including platforms, guardrails, and operating models.
- Build and structure the transformation functions across strategy, architecture, portfolio, and operations.
- Partner with senior leaders across Research, Commercial, IOPS, and GCC, advising technology leadership to align strategy with business needs and execution with the roadmap.
- Represent the program to executive stakeholders with clear reporting, metrics, and governance, and benchmark against industry peers.
Requirements
- Led strategy, planning, or transformation for a large infrastructure or technology organization and owned the results.
- Built and run a technology investment portfolio, deciding on funding when resources are tight and demands compete.
- Delivered large, complex transformation programs that crossed organizational lines.
- Proficient in cloud, network, compute, and platforms to set direction and standards.
- Understand how security and AI reshape an enterprise estate, and can set strategy and standards while partnering with the security organization.
- Build alignment across senior stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
- Worked in pharma, biotech, or life sciences, with exposure to GxP, regulated environments, or global manufacturing.
- Operated in a global company with central strategy and distributed delivery.
- Track record leading cross-functional programs with finance, delivery, and senior business stakeholders.
