About the Role

Ticketing Hosts are the first point of contact with the public, responsible for selling exhibition and program tickets, memberships, and packages. The role supports visitor experience by handling ticketing and administrative inquiries across multiple platforms and technologies, delivering outstanding customer service and ticketing outcomes. Availability for weekend and occasional night shifts is required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the sales of exhibition and program tickets, memberships, and various packages.
  • Support visitor experience requirements.
  • Answer ticketing and administrative enquiries across multiple locations, platforms and technologies.
  • Deliver outstanding visitor/customer service with best-practice ticketing outcomes.

Requirements

  • Previous visitor/customer service experience in the cultural or tourism sector.
  • Previous ticketing/sales and customer service experience in the cultural or tourism sector.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal courteously with visitors.
  • Experience in working with audiences of a diverse range of ages and abilities.
  • Confidence with visitor engagement and the influence required to increase membership sales.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • A high degree of accuracy in money handling, credit card processing and daily reconciliations.
  • Resume (maximum five pages).
  • A covering letter addressing the technical/soft skills.
  • A response to the targeted questions.
