About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership role in our Consulting Engineering team, serving as the technical and delivery anchor on client engagements. You will shape problems with clients, guide engineering teams through execution, and set the benchmark for consulting engineering excellence. This role emphasizes coaching, trust, and technical credibility in dynamic, client-facing environments with fast-cycle sprints.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering delivery across client engagements, from initial scoping through to execution, quality assurance and outcome measurement.
- Represent the engineering perspective with senior client stakeholders, translating technical complexity into clear commercial terms.
- Guide and develop engineers across different engagements, building capability through regular check-ins.
- Set the standard for engineering quality and make sound judgement calls on architecture, approach and delivery trade-offs.
- Lead delivery across short sprint engagements, shifting context quickly between client environments and keeping teams focused on clear, measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- Genuine consulting engineering background with experience representing technical work to senior, non-technical clients.
- Strong full stack and/or AI engineering skills with depth to assess quality, guide architectural decisions, and hold technical conversations.
- Experience developing engineers in a distributed, project-driven environment.
- Experience leading engagements end-to-end, including shaping requirements, navigating trade-offs, and measuring outcomes.
- Ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders and communicate information effectively.
- Comfortable in fast-cycle, ambiguous environments where team structures shift and client context changes regularly.
