About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a driven, customer-obsessed individual to join the Cloud Sales Center (CSC) team as a Cloud Sales Representative. In this role, you will own a geographic territory of named accounts, driving adoption, revenue, and market penetration. You will engage with IT Managers and Technical Decision Makers, acting as the CEO of your territory to achieve quarterly revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a Territory Sales Plan (TSP) to achieve annual revenue quota and MBO goals.
- Build a programmatic and repeatable motion to generate qualified pipeline across new and existing customers.
- Manage full sales cycles including prospecting, discovery, demos, building business cases, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Work closely with Scale Partners to define engagement strategies and co-sell through AWS partners.
- Engage IT Managers, Technical Decision Makers, and business stakeholders to understand challenges and propose AWS solutions.
- Conceptualize and lead programmatic campaigns and initiatives to drive pipeline creation.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation Representatives, Solution Architects, Partners, and Industry Teams.
- Manage customer support cases including payment, suspension, and MFA issues.
- Accurately track activity, forecast pipeline, and manage sales targets in CRM (Salesforce).
- Utilize programs such as MAP Lite and workload-specific funding for higher-value deals.
Requirements
- 2+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
- Experience in technical sales for B2B or in solution-sales / technology-related environment.
- Experience with end-customer sales in the cloud or software industry and a successful track record with consulting or technology partners through account management, program management, and business development.
- Experience with cloud, server or infrastructure technologies and business models.
- Experience and track record of exceeding sales goals.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent.
