About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Sales Representative (CSR) for the Cloud Sales Center (CSC) team in Australia. This role focuses on accelerating AWS service adoption within a designated territory of named accounts. You will act as the territory owner, driving adoption, revenue, and market penetration by engaging with existing AWS users and new prospects. The ideal candidate has a sales and technical background to effectively communicate with IT Managers and Technical Decision Makers, and is a self-starter capable of developing and executing a territory plan to meet quarterly revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a Territory Sales Plan (TSP) to achieve annual revenue quota and Management by Objective (MBO) goals.
  • Build a programmatic and repeatable motion to generate qualified pipeline across new and existing customers.
  • Manage full sales cycles including prospecting, discovery, demos, building business cases, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Work closely with Scale Partners to define engagement strategies and co-sell through AWS partners.
  • Engage IT Managers, Technical Decision Makers, and business stakeholders to understand needs and propose AWS solutions.
  • Conceptualize and lead programmatic campaigns and initiatives to drive pipeline creation.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation Representatives (DGRs), Solution Architects (SAs), Partners, and other teams to meet customer needs.
  • Manage customer support cases including payment, suspension, and MFA issues.
  • Accurately track activity, forecast pipeline, and manage sales targets in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Utilize programs such as MAP Lite and workload-specific funding for higher-value deals.
  • Grow consumption of current and new AWS services within your territory.
  • Apply sales and technical experience to proactively engage customers.
  • Generate and maintain active engagements with customers and prospects, consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technology-related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
  • Experience with end-customer sales in the cloud or software industry and a successful track record with consulting or technology partners through account management, program management, and business development.
  • Experience with cloud, server or infrastructure technologies and business models.
  • Experience and track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience developing and facilitating appropriate sales motions to lead a virtual team broad and deep in targeted accounts.
  • Experience in technical sales for B2B or in solution-sales / technology-related environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to technical and business audiences.
