About the Role
Join ASX, a leading global securities exchange and trusted market operator, to power a stronger economic future by enabling a fair and dynamic marketplace. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of ASX's market licence obligations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor markets on a 24-hour rotational shift structure, understanding daily processes and key checkpoints.
- Provide a high level of customer service and escalate issues as necessary.
- Complete daily checklist tasks with minimal supervision.
- Understand regulatory obligations for Trading Operations and determine when issues require escalation.
- Work towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and seek opportunities to upskill and improve knowledge of ASX Trade and Trade24 markets.
- Engage and service diverse stakeholders including brokers, custodians, clearing participants, investment counterparties, system vendors, compliance officers, and regulators.
- Understand and ensure compliance with license obligations and regulatory reporting requirements, including potential FOT issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to strategic initiatives that improve client service, optimize processes, and achieve operational efficiencies.
- Maintain a high level of market awareness through media monitoring, analyzing trends, and identifying potential risks.

Requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Understanding of the Australian Equity or Derivatives market.
- Attention to detail.
- Agile, adaptable, and resilient; able to manage change positively.
- Intellectually curious with a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Analytical thinker, detail-oriented, methodical, and process-guided.
- Decisive communicator, clearly articulating recommendations and remaining calm under pressure.
- Team player, actively building and maintaining relationships with respect, consideration, ethical behavior, and integrity.
- Ability to work a 24-hour rotating roster covering ASX Trade and Trade24 market hours.
- Knowledge of Participant systems, operations, and connectivity models across Front, Middle, or Back Office environments (nice to have).
- Previous exposure to listed products or ASX Operating Rules (nice to have).
- Legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
