About the Role
This role focuses on the design, delivery, engineering, and support of AI applications and agents, with a strong emphasis on both the tools and techniques used for AI solutions and embedding AI within those solutions. The position requires staying current with field developments and managing the technology portfolio. It also necessitates strong teamwork, business analysis skills, and building effective relationships within IT and with customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on requirement definitions with Customers and Business Partners, leveraging AI to add value and improve processes, workflows, and systems.
- Design software, AI, BI, and Data Integration solutions, producing High- and Low-Level Documents and test plans.
- Ensure designs deliver maintainable solutions compliant with technical strategies, architecture principles, definition of done, change management, and compliance frameworks.
- Provide operational monitoring, after-care, and contribute to continual service improvement.
- Manage contracted workers and third parties, ensuring delivery aligns with LLD and architecture principles.
- Govern applications and automations to ensure alignment with Mundipharma standards, supportability, and fitness for purpose.
- Research, assess, and justify new tools and solutions to meet business and IT needs, particularly those requiring innovative designs with emerging technologies.
- Advise on technical strategy with a focus on technical excellence, architecture, and lifecycle.
- Assess internal processes, architecture, and solutions for simplification.
- Develop data and AI solutions to increase efficiency and reduce support overheads.
Requirements
- Approximately 2+ years of software delivery experience.
- Hands-on practice using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) for writing, reviewing, and refactoring production-ready code.
- Exposure to developing AI agents, harnesses, or workflows (e.g., via Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, or similar frameworks).
- Practical experience deploying applications, web portals, or containerized apps within an Azure environment (using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or DevOps).
- Solid grasp of modern programming languages (such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL).
- Proficiency with source control (GitHub).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to articulate technical concepts, present ideas, and engage directly with senior business leaders.
- A genuine passion for emerging tech, including experimenting, learning new frameworks, or building side projects.
- Experience or familiarity with GxP/GDPR or the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
