About the Role
As a Senior Digital Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and evolving AMP’s next-generation digital platform, spanning modern web applications, APIs, and enterprise integrations. This is an opportunity to work across the full stack, designing, developing, and operating scalable services and customer-facing applications that support AMP Super’s digital experience. You will help drive the transition toward real-time, API-first, and event-driven architectures, contributing to a platform that is more responsive, resilient, and aligned to modern customer expectations. You will also influence how engineering is evolving within the team by embedding AI-enabled development practices, improving delivery speed and quality, and contributing to continuous improvement across architecture, observability, and release practices. Working in a fast-paced agile environment, you will collaborate closely with product, UX, QA, architects, and platform teams, helping shape solutions in an environment where priorities evolve and innovation is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AMP’s next-generation digital platform.
- Design, develop, and operate scalable services and customer-facing applications.
- Drive the transition toward real-time, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
- Embed AI-enabled development practices.
- Improve delivery speed and quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across architecture, observability, and release practices.
- Collaborate with product, UX, QA, architects, and platform teams.
- Shape solutions in an environment where priorities evolve and innovation is encouraged.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering experience.
- Deep expertise across modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems (including Angular).
- Backend API development experience.
- Hands-on experience building scalable, cloud-native applications, ideally within AWS environments.
- Solid grounding in microservices or API-first architectures.
- Strong understanding of security, performance, scalability, and engineering best practices in enterprise environments.
- Adaptability, curiosity, and a strong ownership mindset.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating evolving architecture.
- Experience delivering in highly agile, iterative environments.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Copilot.
- Desire to experiment with emerging technologies and uplift team capability.
- Strong collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-first approach to building digital experiences.
